AGBU Alexandria centennial celebration event: Projection of the documentaries “Armenians of Lebanon,” and “Destination Armenia”.
Prize distribution for Alexandria’s Armenian bright students sponsored by the Satenig Chaker Fund of AGBU Cairo.

2 February
AGBU Cairo children’s choir “Dziadzan” visit the Aydzemnig elderlies’ home in Heliopolis and entertain the residents by singing some of their joyful songs.

9 March
AGBU Alexandria centennial event in the Melkonian Hall of Boghosian School. Screening of a documentary film about the Armenian Genocide “Restitution,” by French filmmaker Laurence Jourdan.

HMEM Nubar Cairo celebrates the Sham El Nessim feast out in the club’s beautiful gardens.

14 May
HMEM Nubar Cairo: Armenian folkloric dance performed by young Armenian dancers from Aleppo.
The performers who are members of a private Armenian dance group in Aleppo were visiting the country on the occasion of the Syrian festival held in Cairo from 3 to 13 May.

18 May
AGBU Cairo contributes with 25 000 Egyptian pounds to cover part of the traveling and accommodation expenses of the Egyptian Armenian players’ delegation at the Pan-Armenian Games to be held in Yerevan from 16 to 26 August 2007.

A New children’s corner in HMEM Nubar Alex club is inaugurated

13 June
The website of AGBU Egypt is launched at the HMEM Nubar Cairo club with the presence of many members and supporters of AGBU Egypt and HMEM Nubar clubs. The site and its different sections was presented by AGBU Cairo chairman Dr. Viken Djizmedjian

HMEM NUbar Alexandria: Opening of the summer season. Salad bar, Lahmajoun and Armenian music

The united Egyptian Armenian basketball team plays a friendly match against the Alexandria Sporting Club`s U-20 team, drawing 109-109.

1 July
HMEM Nubar Cairo: Traditional opening of the summer season featuring Romanian singer Nicole along with Egyptian singer Ramy. Salad bar, Open buffet and music.

21-23 July
HMEM Nubar Alexandria basketball tournament under the auspices of Arch. Ashod Menatsaganian and Mr.& Mrs. Antranig Mesrobian. The cup is offered by Dr. & Mrs. Garo Ansourian, in honour of well known sportsman Prof. Sdepan Khanjian and his son Berge Khanjian. Medals offered by Mr. & Mrs. Vart Alexanian

HMEM Nubar Cairo youth committee organizes a party in the Armenian Artistic club (Kegharvestasiradz) for youngsters aged 13 and above.

HMEM Nubar Cairo: A “Sohour” is organized by the youth committee of the HMEM Nubar Cairo

HMME Nubar Cairo basketball tournament under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Ashod Menatsaganian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Egypt and Mr. & Mrs. Antranig Mesrobian. The senior’s cup is offered by Mr. & Mrs. Onno Belekdanian.

AGBU Cairo Children’s choir Dziadzan performs Hrant Keshishian’s “The Lazy Cat” operetta at the Belekdanian hall in Heliopolis. Maestro Mihran Ghazelian conducts the choir while Hrant Keshishian in addition to having composed the operetta, stages also the lively performance.

28 November
AGBU Cairo board offers a reception on at the HMEM Nubar Cairo club for the Union’s Deghegadou quarterly newsletter’s & website’s collaborators. The gathering comes in recognition of their continuous contribution for the success of AGBU Cairo’s abovementioned two important media channels.

AGBU Cairo’s Dziadzan children’s choir members receive “Gaghant Baba” during their Thuursday rehearsal

13 December
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Armenian studies’ center at the Faculty of Arts of Cairo University, AGBU Cairo contributes with a sum of 30 000 Egyptian pounds in the expenses of the center.

14 December
Armenian Day in Cairo’s Children’s Cancer Hospital. AGBU Cairo’s children’s choir Dziadzan, and Housaper’s Dzaghgastan choir, as well as the Sardarabad and Zankezour Armenian dance troupes’ perform at the Cairo Children’s Cancer Hospital in the “Armenian Day” cultural initiative held under the auspices of the Embassy of Armenia in Egypt.

28 December
HMEM Nubar Cairo holds its annual Christmas bazaar in the club’s gardens. Armenian food and Christmas carols sung by the clubs children led by Arpy Djanigian and Nairy Simonian.

31 December
