HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Sports day on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the scouts and guides movement with the participation of the scouts of the Greek community, of St. Mark and of Wadi El Nil. Celebration of Mothers’ Day in the afternoon under the auspices of Mrs Sirvart Tossounian. Lecturer Mrs Zvart Kalayjian.

HMEM Nubar Cairo: Friendly basketball matches between the teams of HMEM Nubar Cairo and Melkonian college under the auspices of Mr Hovannes Kehyaian. Cup offered by Mr & Mrs Garo Varjabedian and the medals by Mr & Mrs. Vart Alexanian. Celebration of Khetoum in the evening

HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Friendly basketball matches between the teams of HMEM Nubar Alexandria and Melkonian college under the auspices of AGBU Egypt. Cups offered by Mr & Mrs Neshan Neshanian and Mr & Mrs Daniel Djerdjerian. Cocktail reception after the matches.

HMEM Nubar Alexandria: celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the scouts and guides movement (1933-1983) under the auspices of Arch. Zaven Tchintchinian and the Presidency of Mr Hovannes Tchorlian, founder of the scouts movement in Alexandria.

Friday 22 to Sunday 24 July
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Inter-clubs basketball tournament. HMEM Nubar Alexandria beats HMEM Nubar Cairo with one point difference winning the cup offered by Mr. and Mrs. Nubar Simonian.
Saturday night, great ball at the Tikka Grill with The Ghosts band.

Friday 11 to Sunday 13 August
Gamk tournament under the auspices of Arch Zaven Tchinchinian and Mr & Mrs Norair Benohanian. Cup offered by Mr & Mrs Levon Kaghtatsian.
Results: Gamk beats Near East, HMEM Nubar Cairo beats Ararat
Final: HMEM Nubar Alexandria – HMEM Nubar Cairo 57-47. HMEM Nubar Alex champion

AGBU Cairo: Maestro Hayg Sarkissian is appointed as conductor of the newly formed AGBU choir Geroung. Tests for candidate singers are held at HMEM Nubar Cairo club and Goganian with rehearsals starting from October on Thursday nights at the Belekdanian hall.

Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 October
HMEM Nubar Cairo: Inter-clubs basketball tournament under the auspices of Arch Zaven Tchinchinian and the Presidency of Mr & Mrs Garo Guiragossian. Cup offered by Mr & Mrs Hrant Koutnouyan and Mr & Mrs Kevork Parmakian. Medals offered by Mr & Mrs Vart Alexanian. Ararat pulls out from the tournament.
8 October: HMEM Nubar Cairo – Gamk 70-53, HMEM Nubar Alex – St. Therese 66-52.
Final 9 October: HMEM Nubar Cairo – HMEM NUbar Alex 71-52
Results: HMEM Nubar Cairo wins its 52nd cup.
Saturday: dancing evening with Queen Azad band.
