HMEM Nubar Cairo: friendly basketball matches with Hellenica Club.
Results:
Juniors: HMEM Nubar Cairo /Hellenica 45/42.
Women: Hellenica winner 38/33
Men: HMEM Nubar Cairo winner by 81/75.

Monday 27 April
HMEM Nubar Cairo Sham el Nessim Day with the traditional breakfast of foul. Followed by a backgammon competition on the Garo Varjabedian Cup.
In the afternoon: mini-basket match among the clubs players. Medals offered by Mr. and Mrs. Vartan Arakelian. For the table tennis competition, the winners are awarded with Misak Pambougdjian medals.
Dance evening after 19h00. Entrance fee: 16 P.T.

AGBU Alexandria: Lecture by Maitre Stepan Shahbaz on the Relations between the Old and New Generations, at the headquarters of AGBU Alexandria.

Saturday 30 May
HMEM Nubar Cairo: opening of the handicrafts, clothes and paintings bazaar by His Excellency the Cairo Governor.   The proceeds of the bazaar are dedicated to the refugees’ fund.

Saturday 27 June
HMEM Nubar Cairo: Open air ball on the occasion of the summer season opening with dinner and jazz band. Entry fee: 26.5 piasters.

Sunday 28 June
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: opening of the club’s new pergola.
In the evening, friendly basketball matches between HMEM Nubar Alex women’s team and Besançon and between the club’s men’s team and Y.M.C.A.

Friday 3 July
AGBU Alexandria headquarters: lecture by Mr. Meguerditch (Antranig) Pembedjian on the question of co-existence abroad.

Sunday 12 July
AGBU Alexandria headquarters: celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Armenian Patriarch Ghevont Alishan’s birth. Lecture by Mr Hapop Ansourian on the life and achievements of Father Ghevont.

Saturday 25 July
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: annual grand ball in the hall of Aram Mouradian club on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the glorious Revolution.

Sunday 26 July
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Inter-cities basketball tournament between Cairo and Alexandria HMEM Nubar clubs under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Zaven Tchinchinian.
More than 600 spectators attend the games.

Sunday 16 August
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Annual open air ball with Gala des Amateurs competition with The Dreamers band. Entrance fees: 16 piasters.

Sunday 23 August
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Sports competitions between HMEM Nubar Alexandria and Hellenic club. Entertainment and dance with “The Night Angels” band.
Results: youth basketball match: Hellenic HMEM Nubar Alex 29/26.
Men’s basketball: HMEM Nubar Alex winner 55/49.
Hellenic won the backgammon competition.

Friday 13 November
HMEM Nubar Alexandria: Scouts’ Day with games and sports. In the evening Garo Ansourian  lecture about Armenia and the pioneers’ movement.

Sunday 22 November
HMEM Nubar Cairo: Inter-cities basketball competitions under the auspices of Mr and Mrs Paul Kilidjian. The matches are followed by an entertainment evening with the Armenian Sevan group with a lavish buffet. Total fees: 25 piasters.

HMEM Nubar Cairo U-15 team defeats Sporting Club on their own field by 45/34 in the federation’s league.

Thursday 24 December
HMEM Nubar Alexandria Grand ball of Christmas Eve in the Arab-Syrian club with the “Midnight Experience” band. The well-known Egyptian star Samir Sabri attends the evening.
