Կիրակի, 28 Յուլիս 2019-ի երեկոյեան, Եգիպտոսի Ազգային Արխիւատան սրահին մէջ տեղի ունեցաւ Սարուխանի վերջերս լոյս տեսած «Անյայտ Սկիզբներ»ուն (արաբերէն եւ անգլերէն լեզուներով) գիրքին շնորհանդէսը, որ միաժամանակ «Երգիծանկարչութեան Յիշողութիւնը» ծրագրին սկիզբը կը նշէր:
Հրաւիրուած էր նաեւ ՀԲԸՄիութիւնը, որպէս հրատարակիչը այս գիրքին, Սաթենիկ Ճ. Չագըր հիմնադրամին միջոցով:
Երեկոյին բացումը կատարեց «Երգիծանկարչութեան յիշողութիւնը» ծրագիրը յղացողն ու գործադրող Ապտալլա Ալ Սաուին, որմէ ետք իր խօսքը ըսաւ Ազգային Արխիւատան տնօրէն Հիշամ Ազմի:
Ապա խօսք տրուեցաւ ՀԲԸՄի Գահիրէի մասնաճիւղի ատենապետ տոքթ. Վիգէն Ճիզմէճեան, որ շեշտը դրաւ ոչ միայն հայերուն Եգիպտոս գալու պարագաներուն վրայ, այլ նաեւ այն դերին, որ հայերը խաղցած են, ըլլալով աշխատասէր եւ երկրին ծառայող քաղաքացիներ, «Որոնցմէ մէկը, որ այսօր կրնայ մեր ներկայացուցիչը ըլլալ, Սարուխանն է»:
Խօսք առաւ նաեւ Երգիծանկարչութեան թանգարանին տնօրէնը՝ Կումաա Ֆարհաթ:
Յիշատակի վահանակներով պատուուեցան այն անձերը, որոնք օժանդակած են այս ծրագրին յաջողութեան եւ որոնցմէ չորսը եգիպտահայեր էին՝ Տիկ. Սիլվա Ներետեան-Բլատեան, ՀԲԸՄիութիւնը, արուեստագէտ տիար Հրանդ Քէշիշեան եւ տիար Կարօ Թապաքեան:
On Sunday 28 July 2019, at the Center of the Egyptian National Documents and Archives, the launch ceremony was held of the latest publication on Saroukhan: “Unknown Beginnings” (in English and Arabic). It was also the occasion for the launch of the project “The memoirs of Caricature”.
AGBU Cairo was present as the publisher of the book through its Chaker fund.
The evening started with the welcoming words of Abdallah El Sawy, the author of the book followed by the speech of Mr. Hisham Azmy, the chairman of the Center.
In his speech, the chairman of AGBU Cairo, Dr. Viken Djizmedjian, emphasized on the role of the incoming Egyptian Armenians in the development and progress of modern Egypt, stating that “Saroukhan can be considered as one of the best examples of this”.
Also the chairman of the Egyptian caricature Union, Mr. Gomaa Farahat gave a few words after which commemorative plates were distributed to the contributors of this publication, four of them being Armenian, AGBU Cairo, Mrs. Sylvia Neredian Peladian and artist Hrant Keshishian. Garo Tabakian received also an appreciation certificate for his contribution.
