The Egyptian AGBU’s Regional Committee initiated the “Summer School” program this year, from May 27 to June 27, aiming to make the vacation of our (7-12) year old children more educational and beneficial. The daily program of the school was diverse. In addition to Armenian language lessons, there were also enjoyable games, theatrical exercises in English, handcrafts, singing, drawing, physical training, Egyptology, chess, first aid, computer sessions, culinary moments, and general development competitions.
Alongside the daily program, during the 4 weeks of summer school, we had 4 excursions; The first was to the National Museum of Egypt, where the children participated in a treasure hunt organized by “Carpe Diem.” The second excursion was to “Kidzania,” where the children learned about various professions and had the opportunity to try them out personally. The most notable excursion was to the factory of “Etalex,” where the owner, Mr. Vart Alexanian, personally greeted the group at the factory entrance with his grandson, Armen. During a one-hour tour, the children were introduced to the process of making sports trophies and medals.
The summer school organized by AGBU could not end without a visit to the HMEM Nubar Club. The final day’s program was entirely organized by the union’s youth, who were present throughout the entire duration of the school to supervise and be of assistance to the children. On the last day, certificates were distributed to the 34 children, after which they enjoyed water, sports, and mental games and then had lunch in the HMEM Nubar Garden.

Եգիպտոսի ՀԲԸՄի Շրջանակային Յանձնաժողովը այս տարի նախաձեռնեց «Ամառնային Դպրոց» ծրագիրը, Մայիս 27-էն Յունիս 27՝ գաղութիս (7-12) տարեկան փոքրիկներուն արձակուրդը աւելի դաստիարակչական եւ օգտաշատ դարձնելու նպատակով։
Դպրոցի առօրեայ ծրագիրը բազմազան էր։ Հայերէն լեզուի կողքին կային նաեւ անգլերէն լեզուով հաճելի խաղեր ու թատերական փորձեր, ձեռային աշխատանք, երգ, գծագրութիւն, մարզանք, եգիպտաբանութիւն, ճատրակ, , շտապ օգնութիւն, համակարգիչի եւ խոհարարութեան պահեր եւ ընդհանուր զարգացման մրցումներ։
Դասաւանդութեան կողքին, ամառնային դպրոցի 4 շաբաթներու ընթացքին ունեցանք 4 պտոյտներ. առաջինը՝ դէպի Եգիպտոսի Ազգային թանգարանը, ուր փոքրիկները մասնակցեցան “Carpe Diem”- ի պատրաստած գանձարշաւին։ Երկրորդ պտոյտը` դէպի “kidzania”. ուր փոքրիկները ծանօթացան զանազան արհեստներու եւ մասնագիտութիւններու եւ առիթը ունեցան զանոնք անձամբ փորձելու։
Պտոյտներուն ամենայատկանշականը սակայն եղաւ “Etalex” ընկերութեան գործարանը, որուն սեփականատէր պր. Վարդ Ալեքսանեանը` անձամբ,
իր թոռնիկին` Արմէնին հետ,
խումբը դիմաւորեց գործարանի մուտքին։
Մէկ ժամուայ շրջապտոյտի ընթացքին փոքրիկները ծանօթացան մարզական մրցաշարքերուն յատկացուած բաժակներու եւ մետալներու պատրաստութեան գործընթացին։
ՀԲԸՄի կազմակերպած ամառնային դպրոցը չէր կրնար աւարտիլ, առանց ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐ ակումբի այցելութեան։ Վերջին օրուան յայտագիրը ամբողջովին կազմակերպուած էր միութեանս երիտասարդներուն կողմէ, որոնք դպրոցի ամբողջ տեւողութեան ընթացքին միշտ ներկայ էին մեր մանուկները հսկելու եւ անոնց օգտակար դառնալու համար։
Վերջին օրուան առթիւ տեղի ունեցաւ 34 երեխաներու վկայակագրերու բաշխում, որմէ ետք անոնք զուարճացան ջրային, մարզական ու մտային հաճելի խաղերով ապա` ճաշեցին ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐի պարտէզին մէջ։
Շնորհակալութիւն կը յայտնենք իւրաքանչիւր անհատի, որ օգտակար դարձաւ այս ծրագրի յաջողութեան։ Հաւաքական նուիրումով ու պատասխանատուութեան բարձր գիտակցութեամբ, միասնաբար կրցանք իրագործել այս յաջողութիւնը։
