Once again AGBU Cairo’s HMEM Nubar Cairo Sports club lifted the two trophies of Homenetmen Gamk’s tournament which was held from 6 to 8 September 2019 in Alexandria by defeating Homenetmen Ararat in the two finals 69-40 (girls) and 83-67 (boys). Results, which show that HMEM Nubar is continuing its winning track in both categories.
The tournament was also the occasion for the opening of the renovated basketball ground and dressing rooms which gave this prestigious 107 year old club a fresh wonderful new look. A pleasant dinner was also organized on Saturday gathering, players, fans and visitors in charming surroundings.

The tournament was held under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Ashod Mnatsaganian, the primate of the Apostolic church of Egypt, the chairmanship of Mr. & Mrs. Gary Bohdjelian. The boys’ cup was offered bt the Topalian family in memory of late Hovsep Topalian, and the girls’ cup was offered by Mr. & Mrs. George Leylekian.
Well done to HMEM Gamk board and its ladies committee for the excellent organization of the tournament, the usual congratulations to HMEM Nubar Cairo and a better luck next time to HMEM Ararat, HMEM Gamk, HMEM Nubar Alex and Saint Therese next time.
