HMEM Nubar Cairo organized the 4th basketball tournament of the 2018 season and lifted all of the four trophies dedicated to the different age and gender category groups. The tournament was held under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Ashod Mnatsaganian, the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Egypt with the Chairmanship of Dr. & Mrs. Garo Apkarian. The medals are offered by Mr. & Mrs. Vart Alexanian
The first trophy won was that offered by Mrs. Lala Shamamian-Nigolian on Saturday, for the U-16 girls on the expense of the Tayaran team 22-19.
The second cup was that of the boys Mini basket team, offered by Mr. & Mrs. Jean Pierre Avakian. It was lifted after beating their counterparts of Tayaran 32-24.
The third was the senior girls’ cup which was won by HMEM Nubar Cairo after their win of the final match of the tournament against Homenetmen Ararat 63/32 (18-10, 36-15, 54-24, 63-32). The cup was offered by Dr. & Mrs. George Simonian.
The fourth and final cup was that of the senior boys offered by Mr. & Mrs. Khoren Kalenian and went to HMEM Nubar Cairo’s as well after their final match win against Homenetmen Ararat 76-50 (14-11, 32-25, 46-35, 76-50)
There were two new innovations in this year’s tournament which were met with lots of praise : The first was the football match played against “Akademeyet El Defa3 El Gawy” on Friday and won by HMEM Nubar 7-5 and the second was the basketball Foul Shot competition which was won by Nairy Simonian for the women’s category and George Torossian for the men’s category.

Գահիրէի ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐ ակումբի մրցաշարքը
Գահիրէի ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐ մարզական ակումբը կազմակերպած էր այս տարուան 4-րդ մրցաշարքը, որ տեղի ունեցաւ 5-7 Հոկտեմբերին, Ուրբաթէն Կիրակի երկարող շաբաթավերջին, Եգիպտահայ թեմին Բարեջան Առաջնորդ Աշոտ Սրբ. Մնացականեանի հովանաւորութեամբ եւ նախագահութեամբ տոքթ. եւ տիկին Կարօ Աբգարեանէ:
Տարիքային չորս տարբեր խմբաւորումներու համար չորս բաժակներ տրամադրուած էին:
Առաջինը, որ նուիրուած էր տիկին Լալա Շամամեան-Նիկոլեանի կողմէ, բաժին դարձաւ ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐի պատանուհիներուն, որոնք 22-19-ով յաղթեցին Թայարանին:
Երկրորդը՝ ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐԻ Մինի պասքէթի խումբին, որ յաղթեց Թայարանին 32-24 արդիւնքով, նուրիուած տէր եւ տիկին Ժան Փիէռ Աւագեանի կողմէ:
Երրորդը նուաճեցին ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐի աղջիկները, յաղթելով ՀՄԸՄ Արարատի աղջիկներուն 63-32 արդիւնքով եւ ստացան դոկտոր եւ տիկին Ճորճ Սիմոնեանի կողմէ նուիրուած բաժակը:
Իսկ չորրորդ եւ վերջին բաժակը՝ տէր եւ տիկին Խորէն Գալինեանի նուիրատուութեամբ, շահեցաւ ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐի տղոց խումբը, 76-50 արդիւնքով յաղթելով ՀՄԸՄ Արարատի տղոց:
Այս տարուան մրցաշարքին երկու նորութիւններ կային, որոնք մեծ գնահատանքի արժանացան՝ առաջինը ֆութպոլի մրցումն էր, Աքատէմիյէթ Էլ Տիֆա’ Էլ Կաուիի դէմ, որմէ ՀՄԸՄ ՆՈՒՊԱՐի տղաքը յաղթական դուրս եկան 7-5 արդիւնքով. իսկ երկրորդը Foul Shot մրցումն էր. աղջիկներէն Նայիրի Սիմոնեան, իսկ տղոցմէ Ճորճ Թորոսեան յաղթեցին այս մրցանքին:
