It was once again HMEM Nubar Cairo’s boys and girls who who reigned in HMEM Nubar Alex’s basketball tournament, the first of the 2019 season, held from 12 to 14 July.
The unbeaten record of HMEM Nubar Cairo’s teams continued and it seems hard to break in the near future thanks to the ability of the club to produce new talented youngsters each season, in both girls and boys categories.

Following Saturdays matches a very pleasurable gala dinner was held at the Mediterranean Azur Hotel. A very successful event which is being organized by HMEM Nubar Alex since several years.
The tournament was held under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Ashod Menatsaganian,the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Egypt and the Presidency of Mr.& Mrs.Dikran Alexanian, the chairman of the Armenian community council of Alexandria.
The Men’s cup was offered by Mr. & Mrs. Dikran Alexanian, in memory of his late father, Honorary President of HMEM Nubar Alexandria, Mr. Vahan Alexanian. The Girls’ cup was offered by Mr. & Mrs. Jean Pierre & Kareen Avakian. The medals were offered by Mr.& Mrs. Vart Alexa
