2020 թուականը դժուար տարի մը եղաւ մարդկութեան, նամանաւանդ հայ ժողովուրդին համար։ Մեր ազգը տուժեց ոչ միայն պսակաձեւ ժահրի համաճարակին պատճառով, այլ նաեւ մեր հայրենակիցները զոհ գացին Պէյրութի նաւահանգիստի պայթումին եւ Արցախի 44 օրուան դաժան պատերազմին։
Իսկապէս Լիբանանի ՀԲԸՄ-ի կազմակերպած առցանց միջոցառումը ճիշդ ժամանակին եկաւ, մեզի եռանդ տալով եւ յիշեցնելով թէ մեր միասնութիւնը մեր ոյժն է, իսկ մեր երիտասարդութիւնը՝ մեր յոյսը:
Համաշխարհային համաճարակը նոր իրողութիւններ ստեղծեց մարդկային փոխ-յարաբերութիւններու ոլորտին մէջ։ Ան ստիպեց մեզի աննախադեպ քայլեր առնել առցանց միջոցներու օգտագործման մէջ: Կարելի եղաւ մեր աշխարհասփիւռ պատանիները երկու ժամուան ընթացքին հաւաքել, Zoom-ի միջոցով: Հայկական Բարեգործական Ընդհանուր Միութեան Լիբանանի Շրջանակային Յանձնաժողովի կազմակերպած միջոցառումին նպատակն էր յիշատակել Միութեանս հիմնադրութեան 115-րդ տարեդարձը, ինչպէս նաեւ նշել արուեստի միջազգային օրը։
Հինգշաբթի, 15 Ապրիլ 2021-ին, «115 Տարեկան Երիտասարդ» («115 Years Young») ձեռնարկին մասնակցեցան 8-էն 12 տարեկան պատանիներ, ՀԲԸՄ-ի հետեւեալ մասնաճիւղերէն` Գանատա, Գահիրէ, Դամասկոս, Լաթաքիա, Լիբանան, Լոս Անճելըս, Հալէպ եւ Փլօվտիվ: Ներկայ էին աւելի քան 120 մասնակիցներ։ Ձեռնարկը առիթ տուաւ իրարու ծանօթանալու, միաժամանակ կարեւորելով ՀԲԸՄ-ի պատմութիւնն ու ձեռքբերումները, հարցամրցումով եւ թուային գծագրութիւն մը ստեղծելով:
Zoom Room-ին միանալով անմիջապէս կարելի էր զգալ երեխաներուն եռանդը։ Բոլորն ալ խօսելով կամ chat-ին վրայ գրելով զիրար կը դիմաւորէին: Ներկաները ողջունեց ՀԲԸՄ-ի Լիբանանի գործադիր տնօրէն Արին Ղազարեանը: ՀԲԸՄ-ի տարած երիտասարդական գործունէութեան մասին կարճ տեսանիւթ մը դիտելէ ետք, բոլոր քաղաքներէն մասնակիցները ինքզինքնին ներկայացուցին, որմէ ետք Breakout Room-երու մէջ բաժնուեցան։
Իւրաքանչիւր Breakout Room-ի մէջ կային տարբեր երկիրներէ մասնակիցներ, երիտասարդ վարող մը եւ դիտորդ մը։ Այսպէսով աւելի փոքր խումբերու մէջ մասնակիցները իրարու հետ զրուցեցին, զուարճալի հարց-պատասխանի միջոցով տեղեկացան ՀԲԸՄ-ի մասին, ինչպէս եւ գործակցեցան թուային պատկեր մը ներկելու համար:
ՀԲԸՄ Գահիրէն կը մասնակցէր ինը փոքրիկներով` Ալեքսան Նորարեւեան, Լուսին Լուսարարեան, Սիրան Թաշճեան, Լենա Գարերա Թրայեան, Ռաֆայել Էլ Մասրի, Ալեքսանդր Աւագեան, Մարալ Մանուկեան, Դալար Նաճարեան եւ Սերժ Մայքըլ: Անոնց կ’աջակցէին Տիկ. Ռուպինա Ասլանեան եւ դոկտ. Արփի Խաչերեան: Միջոցառումը իր յաջողութիւնը կը պարտի երեխաներու մայրերուն, որոնք ծագած խնդիրները կը փոխանցէին համակարգողներուն, տեղւոյն վրայ լուծումներ գտնելու համար:

While the global pandemic has dictated new realities for human interactions, it has forced us to embrace a virtual existence in unprecedented ways. During a tough year, globally, and especially for Armenians, AGBU Lebanon’s “115 Years Young” initiative has brought young Armenians together, reminding us that our unity is our strength and our youth are our hope.
Organized by AGBU Lebanon, “115 Years Young” brought 8 to 12-year-olds from AGBU chapters from across the world. Participants joined from AGBU Aleppo, Cairo, Damascus, Latakia, Lebanon, Montreal, Plovdiv and Western District. The occasion marked AGBU’s 115th anniversary in addition to celebrating International Day of Art. The workshop sought to connect the children together, while highlighting AGBU’s history and achievements through trivia questions and digital art.
As soon as you joined the Zoom Room, you could feel the energy of the children who greeted each other verbally and through the chat. While the adults scurried with last minute adjustments and technical issues, the children were relaxed and excited to meet their counterparts from across the globe. Over 120 participated in this global virtual experience.
Participants, facilitators, coordinators were welcomed by Arine Ghazarian, Executive Director of AGBU Lebanon. After watching a short video about AGBU’s youth activities, participants introduced themselves by chapter. They were then divided into Breakout Rooms where smaller groups from different chapters had a change to meet each other, learn about the AGBU through fun Q&A and complete a digital drawing depicting AGBU’s cultural, humanitarian and educational activities. The Breakout Rooms were run by young adult moderators with friendly demeanors and smiling faces. The facilitators made sure all children in the Breakout Rooms got to answer the trivia questions and take part in drawing a digital picture of AGBU’s various activities.
AGBU Cairo was represented by nine participants who included: Alexan Norarevian, Luseen Lusararian, Siran Tashjian, Lena Carrera Trayan, Raphael El Masry, Alexander Avakian, Maral Manoukian, Talar Najarian and Serj Michael. They were supported by Mrs. Roubina Aslanian who was the country coordinator and Dr. Arpi Khatcherian who helped moderate one of the breakout rooms. The event wouldn’t have been a success without the help of the children’s moms who conveyed any technical problems to the coordinators to help troubleshoot any issues.
Despite the technical delays AGBU Cairo participants enjoyed the program and expressed their interest in taking part in future youth initiatives. In fact, a smaller group participated in a second round the organizers held for those who had technical difficulties and weren’t able to get the full experience the first time.
If there is one lesson we learned during the past year with the global pandemic, the Beirut Port Blast and the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, is that AGBU’s mandate is as critical today as it was 115 years ago. As coordinators for the program, we felt a sense of fulfillment supporting AGBU Lebanon’s initiative that not only informed Armenian youth but also passed on the spirit of service and unity to future generations.
