HMEM Nubar Cairo’s traditional Easter bazaar was held once again this year on Palm Sunday 14 April 2019. On display were the famous Armenian food items such as Mante, Lahmadjun, Pastrami, Soudjouk, Choerek, Dolma and Kobeba. A small corner was also dedicated to hand-painted Easter eggs, plants and ornaments.
The bazaar was opened by Mrs Nanor Degirmendjian Apikian the patron of the day, at around 1:30 pm. Once the ribbon was cut, the fervent shoppers rushed in to secure their crop of goodies and favorite Armenian delcacies. ..
The event was attended by around 150 guests who had come since noon to enjoy the nice weather and the lunch service provided in the sunny club garden.
As usual the Ladies’ Committee of the club, the main driving force behind the board, did a wonderful job in preparing for this event
