Կոկանեան Սրահի Մշակութային Յանձնախումբը իր աշխատանքային տարին փակեց գեղեցիկ ձեռնարկով մը, որ նուիրուած էր եգիպտահայ, միջազգային հռչակ նուաճած երգիծանկարիչ Ալեքսանտր Սարուխանի ծննդեան 120 ամեակին:
Շաբաթ, 8 Դեկտեմբեր 2018-ի երեկոյեան Կոկանեան Սրահը իրապէ՛ս բերնէ բերան լեցուն էր: Հանդիսութեան բացումը կատարեց դոկտ. Արփի Խաչերեան, որ ներկայացուց Սարուխան մարդն ու արուեստագէտը կուռ տողերու մէջ, ապա բեմ բարձրացան գաղութին պատանիներէն եւ երիտասարդներէն կազմուած փոքրիկ խումբ մը, որ թատերական երկու պատկեր ներկայացուց Սարուխանի «Մենք հայերէն չենք գիտեր» թատրերգութենէն:
Պաստառի վրայ ներկայացուեցաւ փունջ մը Սարուխանի երգիծանկարներէն, որոնց մասին խօսեցաւ Հրանդ Քէշիշեան, որմէ ետք ներկաներէն անոնք, որոնք ճանչած են Սարուխանը, իրենց յուշերը պատմեցին անոր մասին:
Աւարտին տեղի ունեցաւ Սարուխանի նոր լոյս տեսած «Յուշեր» հատորին գինեձօնը, որմէ ետք օրուան հանդիսավարուհին՝ տիկին Լալա Շամամեան-Նիկոլեանը հատուած մը ընթերցեց հատորէն:
Ձեռնարկին ներկայ էին գաղութիս Բարեջան Առաջնորդը, Քահանայ հայրը, միութիւններու ատենապետներն ու ներկայացուցիչները եւ հոծ բազմութիւն մը:
Խիստ յատկանշական էր ներկայութիւնը Սարուխանի անմիջական ընտանիքին՝ աղջկան եւ ամուսնին՝ տէր եւ տիկին Կարապետ Ներետեաններուն, թոռնուհիներուն՝ Սօսի Ներետեան-Յակոբեանին եւ Սիլվա Ներետեան- Բըլատեանին. այս վերջինը ներկայացուց «Յուշեր» գիրքը եւ շնորհակալութիւն յայտնեց բոլոր անոնց, որոնք օժանդակած են գիրքին լոյս աշխարհ գալուն:
Ծակեփունջերով գնահատուեցան տիկին Սեդա Սարուխան-Ներետեանն ու երեկոյին թատերական ներկայացումը պատրաստած օրիորդ Երան Զէյթունցեանը:
Վարձքը կատար Կոկանեան սրահի վարչութեան, ելոյթ ունեցողներուն եւ բոլոր կազմակերպողներուն:
The cultural committee of Goganian club organized a wonderful event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the renowned International Egyptian Armenian caricaturist Alexander Saroukhan.
On Saturday 8th December 2018, Goganian’s main hall was jam-packed for the event. The opening words were read by by Dr. Arpi Khatcherian, who presented Saroukhan, the person and the artist. Then a small group of youngsters and teenagers came up on the theater to perform two scenes from Saroukhan’s play “We do not know Armenian”.
A series of Saroukhan’s caricatures were then displayed on a wide screen and were presented by artist Hrant Keshishian, after which some of the presence, who knew Saroukhan, took the floor to recount their experiences with the great artist.
At the end of the evening, the book launch ceremony of Saroukhan’s “Memoirs” was held, after which the evening’s anchor and presenter, Mrs. Lala Shamammian-Nigolian read some segments of the book.
The event was attended by His Grace Bishop Ashod Mnatsagian, the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic church of Egypt, chairmen of Armenian institutions and a large crowd.
The presence of Saroukhan’s immediate family was truly significant: his daughter and her husband Mr. & Mrs Garo Neredian, his granddaughters Sossi and Sylvia Neredian and their husbands. Mrs. Sylvia then proceeded to present a review of the new book thanking all those who contributed in its realization.
Flower bouquets were then given to Mrs. Seta Saroukhan-Nerdian and to Mrs. Yeran Zeitountsian, who had directed the theatrical play.
Congratulations to the board of Goganian Club, the organizers and all contributors for the organization of such a fine event.
