57/33 was the peculiar final score portraying the wins of HMEM Nubar Cairo’s both boys and girls teams of Homenetmen Ararat’s 2018 basketball tournament which was held from 20 to 22 September 2018.
The third basketball tournament of the season saw the participation of the five Egyptian Armenian clubs in another convivial sports event which gathers youth and people together from Cairo and Alexandria with all the joy and excitement it brings of being together.
These tournaments, which are characteristic to our Egyptian Armenian community since the forties of the last Century, are unique occasions;- that no other event can match, which are able to gather so many people from our five different clubs for three consecutive days, five times a year, and this in significant sociable surroundings. Homenetmen Ararat’s tournament was no exception…
57/33: Հետաքրքրական եւ գրեթէ անկարելի զուգադիպութեամբ մը, այս նոյն թիւերով էր, որ թէ՛ տղոց, թէ՛ աղջիկներու պասքէթի խումբերը աւարտեցին իրենց մրցումները եւ նշեցին յաղթանակը, ՀՄԸՄ Արարատի մրցաշարքին ընթացքին, որ տեղի ունեցաւ 20-22 Սեպտեմբեր, 2018-ին, ՀՄԸՄ Արարատի դաշտին վրայ:
Եղանակին երրորդ մրցաշարքը եգիպտահայ հինգ խումբերու մասնակցութեամբ, համախմբեց ամբողջ եգիպտահայութիւնը, Գահիրէէն եւ Աղեքսանդրիայէն հաւասարապէս, երիտասարդներն ու ոչ այնքան երիտասարդները նոյն եռանդով խանդավառելով:
Այս մրցաշարքերը, որոնք եգիպտահայութեան գլխաւոր յատկանշական գործունէութիւններէն կը համարուին, սկսած են անցեալ դարու քառասունական թուականներէն: Ուրիշ ո՛չ մէկ ձեռնարկ կրնայ համախմբել հինգ տարբեր ակումբներու անդամները նոյն խանդավառութեամբ, ամբողջ երեք օրերու ընթացքին, տարին հինգ անգամ: ՀՄԸՄ Արարատի մրցաշարքը տարբեր չէր կրնար ըլլալ:
