Պէյրութի Հայկազեան Համալսարանին մէջ, Մայիս 29-30-ին տեղի ունեցաւ Եգիպտոսի, Սուտանի եւ Եթովպիոյ Հայերու նուիրուած գիտաժողովին երկրորդ մասը, որուն սկիզբը կայացած էր Գահիրէի մէջ, Ապրիլ 12-13-ին:
Ելոյթ ունեցան, օտար մտաւորականներու կողքին, որոնք հրաւիրուած էին տարբեր երկիրներէ եւ գաղութներէ, եգիպտահայ անձեր եւս՝ ճարտարապետ-հնաբան դոկտ. Նայիրի Համբիկեան, Արմին Քրէտեան, Թովմաս Զաքարեան, Հայկ Աւագեան (զեկոյցը ընթերցուեցաւ իր բացակայութեան), Ասփէ Ճիզմէճեան, Լիմի Խունկանիան, Այգ Զաքարեան եւ դոկտ. Մարուշ Երամեան, որ թէեւ եգիպտահայ չէ, սակայն վերջին քանի մը տարիներուն Գահիրէ կը բնակի:
Բոլոր զեկոյցներն ալ մեծ հետաքրքրութիւն յառաջացուցին ներկայ զեկուցողներուն եւ հիւրերուն մէջ, որովհետեւ կը բացայայտէին յաճախ մոռցուած կամ անգիտացուած իրողութիւններ երկրին եւ գանի մը դարէ ի վեր հոն ներկայութիւն հաստատած հայերու մասին:
At the Haigazian University in Beirut, the second part of the conference dedicated to the Armenians of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia was organized from 29-30 May, the first part was previously held from 12-13 April in Cairo.
The lecturers were Armenian and non-Armenian researchers and intellectuals, who were invited from different countries, including Egyptian-Armenians to present their researches: Dr. Nayiri Hampikian, Armine Kredyan, Tovmas Zakarian, Hayk Avakian (The report was read in his absence), Aspe Djizmedjian, Ayk Zakarian, Limi Cholakian – Khounganian and Dr. Maroush Yeramian, though not an Egyptian Armenian, has been living in Cairo for the last few years.
The researches and presentations given were of great interest to the specialists and guests because they revealed some forgotten or unknown facts about the Armenian communities in these countries who had been several centuries.
