Շաբաթ, 21 Դեկտեմբեր 2019-ի երեկոյեան, ՀԲԸՄի Սաթենիկ Չագըր գողտրիկ սրահէն ներս, կազմակերպութեամբ ՀԲԸՄի Գահիրէի մասնաճիւղին, հանդիպում մը տեղի ունեցաւ նախկին եգիպտահայ տիար Վազգէն Բրուտեանի հետ, որ կարճ այցելութեամբ մը քաղաքս կը գտնուէր:
Հանդիպում-զրոյցը բեւեռուած էր հայաշխարհը յուզող բազմաթիւ հարցերու շուրջ. ինչպէս յարգելի հիւրը ըսաւ՝ «Հայաշխարհ ըսելով ես կը հասկնամ ամբողջ հայութիւնը՝ Հայաստանի, Արցախի եւ Սփիւռքի տարածքին»:
Երեկոյին բացումը իր բարի գալուստի խօսքով կատարեց Գահիրէի մասնաճիւղի ատենապետ տոքթ. Վիգէն Ճիզմէճեան, որ նաեւ խօսեցաւ պարոն Բրուտեանին եւ անոր կապուած յիշատակներու մասին:
Զրոյցը կը վարէր Գահիրէի ՀԲԸՄի արխիւներուն եւ գրադարանին պատասխանատու դոկտ. Մարուշ Երամեան:
Վազգէն Բրուտեանի պատասխանները հետաքրքրութեամբ ընկալուեցան ներկաներուն կողմէ, որոնք եկած էին լսելու այս ինքնուրոյն մտածելակերպի եւ իրապաշտ գաղափարներու տէր նախկին եգիպտահայը, որ այսօր կ’ապրի հեռաւոր Պրազիլիոյ Սան Փաօլօ քաղաքին մէջ: Մասնագիտութեամբ համակարգչային ճարտարագէտ Վ. Բրուտեան բարձր տնօրինական պաշտօններ վարած է IBM, Hitachi եւ ThyssenKrupp ընկերութիւններուն մէջ եւ այսօր տնօրէնն է իր անձնական ընկերութեան:

On Saturday December 21st, 2019, at AGBU Cairo’s Satenik Chaker Cultural Center, a gathering was held with our Egyptian Armenian community’s former member Vazken Proudian, who is in Cairo for a short visit.
The discussion-gathering focused on many issues concerning the Armenian World. As Vazken described: “By the Armenian World, I understand all Armenians in the territory of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora.”
The opening of the evening was made by the Chairman of AGBU’s Cairo Chapter Dr. Viken Djizmejian, who introduced Mr. Proudian. The conversation was conducted by Maroush Yeramian, AGBU Cairo’s archivist and librarian.
Vazken Proudian’s comments were received with great interest by those present who had come to listen to the ideas and thoughts of this former Egyptian Armenian, the self-nurtured thinker and realist who lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Specialized in Computer Engineering, Vazken Proudian has held senior management positions at IBM, Hitachi and ThyssenKrupp companies. Currently, he is runs his own company. The evening was concluded with a cocktail reception during which the guests continued their conversation, chatting and exchanging views with Mr. Proudian for a long period of time.
