AGBU Cairo published in May 2020 the last two books of its huge project “The Armenian Question in the Arab Press from 1876 to 1923” which it had started in 2001. The project is published in 7 parts of 12 volumes.
The two last volumes are on the Adana Massacres of 1909 and they were published in 595 and 540 pages respectively and include all the articles that have appeared in the Arab Press during the period of January to May 1909 (part 1) and the period of June to December 1909 (part 2).
AGBU Cairo had started this project 19 years ago to document this important era of the Armenian people’s modern & contemporary history based on news and articles published in Egyptian and Arabic press existing in the the Egyptian National Library. For this task, AGBU Cairo appointed and contracted a group of researchers under the scientific supervision of Dr. Mohamed Refaat Al Imam, aided by Dr. Sahar Ali and Messrs. Ali Sabet, Ata Dorgham, to search and photocopy all the articles written on Armenia and Armenians in the Arabic publications from 1876 to 1923 in the Egyptian National Library and elsewhere.
The number of the publications and journals which were photocopied reached 383 periodicals which existed during the above mentioned period.
253 periodicals from these were used in The Armenian question in the Arab Press 1876-1923 project. The research resulted in the obtainment of 36000 texts published in the Egyptian and Arab press about the Armenian Question from 1876 to 1923.
The specialized website www.arminmedia.com has a search engine which allows researchers to find articles based on date, subject, periodical or keywords published about the Armenian Question in the Arab press during the above mentioned period.

ՀԲԸՄի Գահիրէի մասնաճիւղը 2020-ի Մայիսին, վերջին երկու հատորներով լրումի բերաւ 2001 թուականին սկիզբ առած ծրագիրը՝ «Հայկական հարցը արաբական մամուլին մէջ 1876-1923» խորագրով հատորներու հրատարակութիւնը:
Ծրագիրը կը բաղկանայ եօթը բաժիններէ, որոնք տասներկու հատորներով ներկայացուած են եւ որոնց վերջին երկուքը նուիրուած են Ատանայի ջարդերուն:
Առաջինը՝ (7-րդ բաժին) կ’ընդգրկէ 1909-ի Յունուարէն Մայիս երկարող շրջանին արաբական մամուլին մէջ լոյս տեսած եւ այդ ջարդերուն առնչուող բոլոր յօդուածները եւ կը հաշուէ 595 էջ, իսկ երկրորդը՝ նոյն տարուան Յունիսէն Դեկտեմբերի շրջանին յօդուածները եւ կը հաշուէ 540 էջ:
ՀԲԸՄիութեան Գահիրէի մասնաճիւղը այս ծրագիրը սկսած էր 19 տարիներ առաջ, վաւերագրելու համար հայոց նորագոյն պատմութեան այս կարեւոր շրջանը, հիմնուելով եգիպտական եւ արաբական մամուլին մէջ լոյս տեսած լրատուութիւններու եւ յօդուածներու վրայ: Այս աշխատանքը յանձնուած էր դոկտ. Մոհամէտ Րիֆ’աթ էլ Իմամի, անոր օգնականուհի դոկտ. Սահար Ալիի եւ անոնց հետ աշխատող երկու մասնագէտներու՝ Ալի Սապէթի եւ Աթա Տորղամի, պրպտելու համար Եգիպտոսի Ազգային Գրադարանին եւ այլ գրադարաններու մէջ գտնուող1876-1923 թուականներու արաբական եւ եգիպտական մամուլը:
Այս աշխատանքին համար պատճէնահանուած են նշուած ժամանակահատուածին մէջ լոյս տեսած 383 թերթեր եւ հանդէսներ, որոնցմէ 253-ը օգտագործուած է այս ծրագրին համար: Արդիւնքը՝36,000 թէքսթ, լոյս տեսած եգիպտական եւ արաբական մամուլին մէջ, 1876-1923 թուականներուն:
