Hagop Hagopian (1923-2013)

Hagop Hagopian was born in Alexandria, on May 16, 1923. His father Tigran, a native of Aintab in Southern Turkey (near the North-Western borders of Syria), was 14 years old when his parents sent him to America, in order to save him from the Turkish massacres of the Armenians in1895. In 1913 the 32 years old Tigran came to Egypt and settled in Alexandria. After a few years he married Zarouhi. They had three children, the elder was a girl named Maro, and two boys Hagop and Sarkis.
