The Armenian Embassy, with the cooperation of AGBU Cairo will be hosting, on Thursday 4 October 2018, the launch ceremony of Mrs. Mari Shakkar’s Arabic version of the book “Between two Worlds”, originally written in Russian, translated to Armenian and now to Arabic through AGBU Cairo.
Mrs. Mari Shakkar, who is the wife of HE Rupen Garabedian, the former Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Egypt, has accompanied her husband during his mandate in Egypt from 2003 to 2009.
“Between Two Worlds” is a fiction based on a true life story. It is a fascinating chronicle in the form of a tale of a diplomat’s spouse in Egypt; her impressions, her visits and her contacts with Egyptians, allowing us to take a peek in the not so known World of ambassadors and diplomats.
The book is now published in Arabic upon an initiative from AGBU Cairo, which entrusted the translation from Russian to Dr. Mohamed Riyad Ghaloush with the revision by Mr. Marat Yavroumian.
The launch ceremony of the book will be hosted by HE Dr. Armen Melkonian, at the Armenian Embassy in Cairo at 8:00 pm, with the presence of the author Mrs. Mari Shakkar and her husband HE Rupen Garabedian.
Գահիրէի ՀԲԸՄի հրատարակութեամբ, արաբերէն լեզուով լոյս տեսած է տիկին Մարի Շաքար-Կարապետեանի ռուսերէնէ թարգմանուած «Երկու Աշխարհներու Միջեւ» գիրքը:
ՀՀ Եգիպտոսի դեսպանութիւնը, ՀԲԸՄի հետ գործակցաբար, 4 Հոկտեմբերի երեկոյան ժամը 8-ին պիտի ներկայացնէ այս գիրքը շնորհանդէս-գինեձօնի մը ընթացքին, որ տեղի պիտի ունենայ Դեսպանատունէն ներս:
Մարի Շաքար-Կարապետեան ՀՀ Եգիպտոսի նախկին դեսպանին՝ մեծարգոյ Ռուբէն Կարապետեանի տիկինն է եւ անոր հետ 2003 թուականէն մինչեւ 2009 ապրած է Գահիրէի մէջ:
«Երկու Աշխարհներու Միջեւ» հատորը ապրուած կեանքի մը վրայ հիմնուած գեղարուեստական ստեղծագործութիւն մըն է, որ ընթերցողին առջեւ կը բանայ, հեղինակուհիին տպաւորութիւններուն եւ ներաշխարհին կողքին, նաեւ դիւանագիտական փակ շրջանակի մը առօրեային ծալքերը:
Գիրքը արաբերէնի թարգմանուած է Գահիրէի ՀԲԸՄի նախաձեռնութեամբ, իսկ ռուսերէնէ թարգմանութիւնը վստահուած է դոկտ. Մոհամէտ Րիատ Ղալուշի, վեrընթերցումով Մարադ Եաւրումեանի (Երեւան, ՀԱյաստան):
