Ashod Zorian (1905-1970)

Ashod Zorian was born in 1905 at  Girasun, a seashore town on the northern coast of Turkey. His father Apig was a renowned lawyer and his mother (we don’t know her name, unfortunately) was an educated woman who played the piano. Ashod, like his two sisters, was enrolled in the local Armenian National School, until the tragic events of 1915. During these horrible events, a fanatical mob of Turks came and took the father, placing him by force on a horse, and leading him to the nearby hills, where he was murdered mercilessly.
