Երկուշաբթի, 11 Յունիս 2018-ի երեկոյեան, Կոկանեան Սրահէն ներս տեղի ունեցաւ գիտական դասախօսութիւն մը, նուիրուած DNA-ի եւ անոր առնչուած հարցերու:
Այս երեկոն կազմակերպուած էր Կոկանեան Սրահի մշակութային վարչութեան կողմէ եւ իր գործունէութեան երկրորդ ձեռնարկն էր: Դասախօսները երեքն ալ եգիպտահայ, Գահիրէի բնակիչներ էին՝ դոկտոր Արթօ Պըլըքտանեան, տոքթոր Արփի Խաչերեան եւ Օհան Ճանիկեան:
Արփի Խաչերեան նախ տեղեկութիւններ տուաւ թէ ճիշդ ի՛նչ է DNA-ը, ինչով կը տարբերին արական եւ իգական բաժինները եւ ի՛նչ կը կրեն իրենց վրայ: Հետաքրքրական էր իմանալ, թէ DNA-ի երիզները իրենց վրայ կը կրեն ոչ միայն անհատական, այլ նաեւ ցեղային-ազգային յատկանիշեր, որոնք ուրաքանչիւր ժողովուրդի իր ուրոյնութիւնը կու տան:
Դոկտոր Արթօ Պըլըքտանեան բացատրեց DNA-ի դերը հնագիտութեան մէջ, գլխաւոր օրինակները Եգիպտոսի հնագիտական պեղումներէն բերելով: Ըսաւ նաեւ թէ չի բաւեր միայն DNA-ի բացայայտումներուն վստահիլ, պէտք է նաեւ պատմութիւնը, մանաւանդ պատերուն արձանագրութիւնները նկատի առնել, վերջնական եզրակացութիւնները հասնելէ առաջ:
Իսկ Օհան Ճանիկեան խօսեցաւ ընդհանուր երեւոյթներու մասին, ցուցադրեց կենսաբանութեան դոկտոր-փրոֆէսոր Լեւոն Եպիսկոպոսեանի մէկ ելոյթը Ստեփանակերտի համալսարանին մէջ եւ այս բոլորը կապեց Արեւմտահայաստանի մէջ խօսուած բարբառներուն:
Կոկիկ հասարակութիւնը, որ լեցուցած էր Կոկանեան Սրահը, հետաքրքրութեամբ ունկնդրեց եւ իր ծափերով ողջունեց երեք դասախօսներն ու կազմակերպիչները:
On Monday, June 11, 2018, The Goganian Cultural Club hosted a lecture on DNA and its Genetic Atlas relating Armenians.
The evening was organized by the Cultural Committee of Goganian and was the second of a series of planned events. The lecturers were Dr. Arto Belekdanian, Dr. Arpi Khacherian and Ohan Djanigian.
Arpi Khatcherian started first by giving some information as to what exactly DNA is, how different the male and female chromosomes are and what they carry. It was interesting to know that DNA’s edges carry not only individual but also tribal-national features that give each nation its own specifity.
Dr. Arto Belekdanian explained the role of DNA in archeology by bringing some of the leading examples from Egypt’s archaeological excavations. He said that trusting DNA evidence alone is not enough in archeological discoveries; history should also be taken into consideration, along with other evidence such as walls inscriptions, before reaching final conclusions. Ohan Djianigian spoke about common occurrences and facts, showing one of the speeches of Dr. Levon Yepiskoposyan, a biologist at the Stepanakert University, linking these occurrences with the dialects spoken in Western Armenia. The presence which had filled Goganian’s Hall, listened with enthusiasm, congratulating the three lecturers and the organizers with their applause.
